Ryu Jun Yeol flaunted a smart and sophisticated look in the spread of Cosmopolitan Korea and talked about a story in his 20s and why he’s excited about his upcoming movie.
Ryu Jun Yeol was notedly rocking a long-hair look for his new movie “Alien” (WT). The actor told Cosmopolitan that it is his first time growing his hair like that, and noted that it is probably the most prolonged growth throughout his life. And while he is enjoying a new vibe having a long hair in his recent undertakings, Ryu Jun Yeol expressed that the process of growing it out has been a bit hard.
The actor during the interview was asked how he describes his role in the new film. Ryu Jun Yeol reveals that his new task requires long hair. With a laugh, he said that he had long hair in the movie “A Taxi Driver,” too, but it was just wig because he was doing a lot of projects during that time. Ryu Jun Yeol continued that he wanted to grow out his hair this time around because it’s the most natural way to film his new role with his hair long, and it helps him immerse in his character.
The interviewer pointed out that it’s already been a year since he appeared in a new film since his “The Battle: Roar to Victory.” He was asked if he got impatient waiting for his another turn. Ryu Jun Yeol laughed and said that people ask him if he quit acting. He continued that he did not feel impatient, but he desired to have a new job very soon.
Ryu Jun Yeol shared how excited he was while waiting for the time to finally say to his fans that he prepared a lot for the project, and they should look forward to it.
With regards to his new role in “Alien,” Ryu Jun Yeol was asked to share his thoughts on why he wanted to join the cast of the movie. The actor shared that when he was asked by director Choi Dong Hoon whom he revealed that he wants to work with, he immediately grabbed the opportunity and told himself that the time has finally come.
Meanwhile, since the feature of Ryu Jun Yeol graces that 20th anniversary of Cosmopolitan, he was asked to share what “20 years old” means to him.”
Ryu Jun Yeol shared that when he was in his 20s, he tasted the bitterness of life. He said that he was far from being self-disciplined in high school. He continued that he slept a lot and was late often, and because of that, he had to study and retake the college entrance exam that made him realized that schooling is no joke.
The actor expressed, “That time was my failure and at the same time, my beginning. It was an important foundation in my life.”
