According to Soompi, on August 26, Girls' Generation's Kwon Yuri was cast as one of the main characters of the drama "Bossam- Stealing Fate." This will be Kwon Yuri's first historical drama appearance since she has steadily established herself as an actress through plays and dramas.
"Bossam- Stealing Fate," a story of a person who accidentally kidnaps a princess who reverses his life. Kwon Yuri will play the character of the princess Soo Kyung if she will gladly accept the invitation.
The story starts with Soo Kyung as she marries the brother of the one she loves but ended up as a widow during the first evening. Following childhood, Soo Kyung has acted to be careful to protect her strong personality to preserve her dignity as the princess. After living under the pretense of grace and class, she meets Ba Woo, and slowly takes off her cover and finds herself. (via Zapzee)
Kwon Yuri is reportedly teaming up with Jung Il Woo, who will be playing as Ba Woo. The drama will be set during the reign of King Gwanghae, which will be a tale of life and love that touches upon the abuse endured by women and the poor.
The story also centers on the two characters who met within the Joseon dynasty's bondage, symbolized by Bossam and Eunjangdo, which are "Bossam- Stealing Destiny."
The script was written by Kim Ji-soo and Park Chul, and directed by Kwon Seok Jang of "Miss Korea" and "Golden Time." JS Pictures, who created "When the Devil Calls Your Name," are scheduled to co-produce. The drama is set to air in the first half of 2021.
Kwon Yuri, a member of the group Girl's Generation, has expanded her area of activity by appearing within the drama "Innocent Defendant," "Dae Jang Geum is Watching," and the movie "No Breathing" and the play "Henri Grandpa and I."
