BLACKPINK, in collaboration with Selena Gomez with the song “Ice Cream,” earns a spot on the Billboard Hot 100!
On September 8, local time, Billboard announced that SelPink’s “Ice Cream” took the number 13 spot on this week’s chart. The Hot 100 ranks the most popular songs in the United States across all genres based on streaming, radio airplay, and sales data.
According to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, “Ice Cream” garnered 18.3 million U.S. streams and 23,000 downloads sold on the first week, which ended on September 3. It also ranked up 5.1 million radio airplay audience impressions during the week ending on September 6.
The rank is a new milestone for BLACKPINK, who previously debuted on number 33 on Billboard Hot 100 with “How You Like That” and their collaboration with Lady Gaga of the song “Sour Candy.”
BLACKPINK’s single “Ice Cream” debuted on the Digital Songs Sales chart on number two spot and came in at number eight on the Streaming Song chart. On the Pop Songs radio airplay, SelPink’s single takes number 32, becoming BLACKPINK’s first track to enter the chart.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s “Ice Cream” has now reached 200 million views on Youtube as of September 8, at 2:05 am KST. “Ice Cream” is now BLACKPINK’s ninth group music video to get 200 million views, following “BOOMBAYAH,” “As If Your Last,” “Playing With Fire,” “Whistle,” “DDU-DU-DDU-DU,” “Kill This Love,” “STAY,” “Kill This Love.”
