VICTON's charismatic and talented leader Han Seung Woo is confirmed to be gearing up for a solo debut!
On June 26, Han Seung Woo's agency Play M Entertainment shared, "Han Seung Woo has finalized his solo debut, and he is working hard on preparing for the album." The agency added, "We plan on announcing concrete timing and the form of the album after further organization," Soompi reported.
Han Seung Woo has previously shared with his fans that he has created several self-composed or written songs. Fans are expecting to see one of those composed songs on his debut album.
Well known for being an all-rounder, VICTON's leader will be the first among the group to debut as a solo artist since the group's debut four years ago.
Seung Woo rose to fame after participating in Mnet's survival program 'Produce X 101' in 2019. He was able to showcase his diverse skills in dance, vocal, rap, and composing in the show, charming his trainers, co-participants, and the viewers of the show.
He eventually finished in third place, thus becoming a member of X1. The group officially debuted on August 27, 2019, with the mini-album, 비상: Quantum Leap.
X1 was supposed to have a five-year contract as initially signed. Unfortunately, the group disbanded early in January 2020 due to not being able to reach a unanimous agreement following the Produce 101 vote manipulation controversy.
Seung Woo resumed his position as leader of VICTON after the project group disbanded. VICTON then released their sixth mini-album 'Continuous' with the lead single, 'Howling' in March after Seung Woo's return.
Following the success of their mini-album, VICTON released their second single album 'Mayday' on June 2, which won them a trophy on the music program 'The Show' on June 9, making it their third win since debut.
Meanwhile, Han Seung Woo, together with co-member Seung Sik, is a regular DJ hosting a radio show called 'Blanket Kick' that airs every Tuesday.
Watch out for Han Seung Woo's solo debut this August!
