KBS 2TV’s newly released drama, “Homemade Love Story” has captured the hearts of the viewers!
After premiering to a strong start the night before, on September 20, the new weekend drama enjoyed a significant rise viewership for its second episode. The drama stars Jin Ki Joo, Lee Jang Woo, WJSN‘s Bona, and more. The second broadcast of “Homemade Love Story,” according to Nielsen Korea, scored average nationwide ratings of 22.2 percent and 24.9 percent for its two parts.
Meanwhile, on September 19, the brand-new weekend drama premiere scored average nationwide ratings of 19.9 percent and 23.3 percent for its two parts, according to Nielsen Korea. The achieved score of the drama made it easily the most-watched drama of the night.
The first episode of “Homemade Love Story” also managed to earn higher viewership ratings than those achieved by the premiere of the drama that previously occupied its time slot, “Once Again.”
The new KBS weekend drama follows the various stories that take place inside the Samkwang Villa, and it is a family drama centering the villa’s owner named Lee Soon Jung (Jeon In Hwa), who welcomes everyone to her table.
On the other hand, scoring an average nationwide rating of 7.5 percent and a peak of 8.1 percent is tvN’s “Forest of Secrets 2,” taking first place in its time slot across all cable channels. Ages 20 to 49 are among the key demographic of viewers. The drama scored an average rating of 4.4 percent and a peak of 4.7 percent for the night.
A night before, tvN’s “Forest of Secrets 2” scored an average nationwide rating of 6.8 percent for the night.
Due to a delay in production caused by a temporary halt in filming last month to prevent the spread of COVID-19, OCN’s “Missing: The Other Side” did not air this weekend. The drama will be resuming to air as usual on September 26 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
