Big Hit Entertainment made sure that no more trolls will be insulting and defame their artist- BTS through a legal move they have undertaken.
On June 29, Big Hit Entertainment shares the latest update from its previous statement released in March about its legal actions taken against netizens who made malicious comments and posts about BTS, per Soompi.
The agency said on their press release that they would not tolerate malicious posts such as slander, sexual harassment, false rumors, and those who make personal tracks against BTS. And that, if any, legal action will be taken as the best option.
The Big Hit Entertainment also stated on their press release that they had sentenced fines to the suspects on the previous complaints regarding the issue.
The company's legal team is currently handling the situation with close collaboration with a professional law firm. And their primary sources of proof are social media posts, communities like DC Inside, blog posts such as those on Tistory, comments on portal site news articles, and comments on music sites.
Last year, August 2019, the agency Big Hit Entertainment already warned trolls over posts that exceed the reasonable and accepted boundaries of expression and personal commentary, according to BBC News.
The news portal outlet also stated that it has previously sued the people behind the claims of "sajaegi" –bulk buying albums to inflate BTS' chart position.
As of this writing, the agency assures its continued actions over trolls who post maliciously against BTS. They also urge fans to keep reporting to their legal accounts if they observe such crimes.
Meanwhile, Big Hit Entertainment thanks fans for their love and devotion extended to BTS.
Surely, BTS' members (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) can remain composed and confident in an agency that will protect their artists at all costs.
