1. BTS Has Seven Members

BTS composed of RM (Leader, Rapper), J-Hope (Main Dancer, Rapper), Jin (Singer, Visuals), V (Singer, Visuals), Suga (Rapper, Music Production), Jimin (Dancer, Singer), and Jungkook (Singer, Maknae) was founded and signed under Big Hit Entertainment on 2010.

With each member coming from different aspects of singing, dancing, rapping, production, and acting, their unique talents were cultivated into one by the record label, hence the name BTS that stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan or “Bulletproof Boys” in English.

2. BTS Produces Their Music

Each of the seven BTS members has their fair share of writing credits throughout their musical discography, with members Suga and RM gaining the reputation as the group’s producers. The boy band has co-written most of their songs with Korean producer Pdogg and Slow Rabbit to create a distinct hip-hop track infused with dance beats.

While BTS has now evolved onto colorful personas, the group has been experimenting with hip-hop in their debut days and exploring the genre through their 2014 reality show “American Hustle Life.”

3. Winning Countless Awards

Since there debut, BTS has been piling awards left and right, both domestically and internationally. The group has received recognition for their music videos, singles, albums, social media presence, dance performances, cultural influence, and worldwide acclaim. The group has set the bar for other artists after winning major Korean music organizations and networks such as Mnet Asian Music Awards, Golden Disk Awards, and Korean Broadcasting News.

BTS’s reputation has not stopped in Korea alone as the group also won awards internationally such as Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, MTV’s Video Music Awards. The group is also the youngest to receive the James Van Fleet Award for their contributions to the K-pop Industry and was nominated in the 2018 Korean Popular Culture and Arts Award for the Order of Cultural Merit Award by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

4. BTS Breaking Records That Is Hard To Keep Track

BTS has been breaking world records with their success in the music industry that it is hard to keep up with the group. For now, the boy band has broken 14 world records, such as being the first Korean artist to win a Billboard Music Award, the first K-pop group to perform at the American Music Awards in 2017, and more.

5. RM Being The Fluent Speaker Of BTS

RM has been praised by his English skills has he revealed that he taught himself to learn English by watching “Friends” and memorizing lines. The group leader also lived and studied in New Zealand for six months to learn the language.

RM’s fluency in English earn them the chance to be invited by the United Nations for the second time to give a heartwarming speech of love and solidarity in the time of COVID-19, and in 2018, RM gave a speech that conveyed the message “Speak Yourself, Love Yourself.”
