eDaily interviewed idols that are not initially from Korea on how they spent Chuseok this year. The stars include CLC’s Sorn and SEVENTEEN’s Joshua.
Chuseok is the equivalent of Thanksgiving in other places. It is a significant festival that falls on October 1, and the holiday period started on September 30.
Sorn is originally from Thailand. Every year on the holidays, Sorn receives a week more days and goes to Thailand to see her family. Since she can not go to Thailand because of the COVID-19 pandemic, she will be staying in Seoul for the first time.
Although she can not see her family, all her foreign friends are also in the same situation. Sorn is planning to have a good time with her friends for the upcoming holiday.
Sorn also shared with her Chuseok experience. She told a story about her and her labelmate form (G)I-DLE’s Minnie. There was a time that both of them took the same plane to Thailand and spent time with each other. Since they were busy with promotions, they could not see each other too often. To them, being together in Thailand was terrific for them.
SEVENTEEN’s Joshua is originally from Los Angeles, California. With Chuseok, Joshua is preparing music with the goal of his comeback in October. They are working hard to prepare for the new album of SEVENTEEN.
Joshua expanded his plans for the holiday to watch movies at home, do some beading, and read books. After his debut, he spent most of his Chuseok holiday practicing and having vacations where they are given their time. In the given situation, where the travels are limited, he will be spending his time at home.
He shared that his bucket list contains his dreams to travel. Joshua talked about the time where he went on a vacation with his fellow member Mingyu. Last year, Joshua and Mingyu visited Cebu City. They had the most memorable holiday and had a lot of fun, even if it was spontaneous. (Via Soompi)
