Yoo Jimin, an SM Entertainment trainee, has been rumored to have commented negatively about other K-pop idols in the music industry, such as NCT and BTS.
The trainee is known for featuring in the choreography for SHINee’s Taemin single “Want.” However, she is now under fire for bad-mouthing other idols in the industry.
In a conversation screenshot with a friend, the SM Entertainment trainee allegedly stated that her agency would reveal two male trainees as NCT members and said that their visuals are subpar with the other members. She later stated that NCT is not doing well, and EXO is not as popular as it used to be.
Yoo Jimin maybe is talking about the newest members of NCT, Shotaro, and Sungchan, who were introduced through the V Live. On the other hand, EXO members have separate projects in line, but they have never been unpopular through the years.
Later on, Yoo Jimin’s friend asked her if she wanted to relocate to Big Hit Entertainment due to BTS being the number one K-pop group in the business. However, the SME trainee replied by saying that SM Entertainment and its idols can not compare to what Big Hit is today.
Yoo Jimin added by saying, “I didn’t like BTS originally because they’re ugly.” Her friend then replied that “That’s right. We used to say that BTS was ugly, especially Jimin and RM. It was funny back then.”
However, Yoo Jimin’s friend revealed why they posted the screenshots of the alleged conversations, stating, “What are you saying? Apart from you, many other substitutes will listen to me talking, so if you don’t want to, leave it.”
According to Koreaboo, this is not the first time Yoo Jimin displayed negative traits about her character. She also posted on her social media, calling EXO’s Kai ugly after shooting a commercial with him that has yet to be released.
However, many fans believe that Yoo Jimin would not do such a thing and defended her, claiming that the SME trainee had an old ask.fm account that was always full of positive replies to her fans. Her fans added that she was well-liked among her peers and loved it when people around her are happy.
