After BLACKPINK released their title track "Lovesick Girls" yesterday, the group was flooded with comments and positive feedback from BLINKs. The members were given a chance to thank their fans on a Youtube Originals video.
BLACKPINK has finally returned to the music scene with their full-length album titled "The Album" and the single "Lovesick Girls." It was praised for the lyrics, visuals, and the girl group's performance.
Youtube Original's RELEASED series is a new segment from the music platform that will feature the music industry's most prominent names. RELEASED also serves as a countdown to a music video premiere from favorite artists every Thursday at 11:45 PM EST.
BLACKPINK was the first artist highlighted by the Youtube series, where it discusses the hard work the K-pop stars did for the single plus a chance to thank their fans.
First, the girls played a form of a personality test, where they were asked which member would most likely be best presented with certain traits.
Then, they were asked to pick their favorite song from "The Album," to which Rose, Jisoo, and Jennie decided "Lovesick Girls," while Lisa choose "Pretty Savage."
Rose commented that when they heard Cardi B's part on the song "Bet You Wanna," they were blown away by her performance.
In the interview, BLACKPINK was also asked to pick which clothing/accessory they have seen that they liked. The three members choose Lisa's necklace with the numbers "327," symbolizing the rapper's birthday (March 27).
However, Rose noticed that the necklace was missing one of its diamonds, which shocked Lisa. After taking a good look at the gold piece, Lisa could not contain her sadness.
After that, BLACKPINK's Rose stepped up to answer the question if they were nervous about their new music's reactions. Rose stated that they had mixed feelings about BLINKs thoughts and response to their new music.
Moreover, Rose added that "Yes, we cannot lie. We are a little nervous because we have so many of our fans and people tuning in, and we also have to step our game up." Jisoo then quipped with a comment saying "good answer," calling Rose "smart."
Meanwhile, Youtube Original's RELEASED will feature behind-the-scenes footage of BLACKPINK's photoshoot for "The Album" photo covers.
Finally, viewers are greeted with a voice-over of Lisa, showing excitement for the photoshoot and being nervous about what the fans would think about the album cover.
