Previous videos have resurfaced online about Red Velvet Irene’s past behavior on some occasions where the idol appeared in public, causing it to trend on some social media platforms.
Red Velvet’s Irene behavior has caused a mass hysteria from other netizens. Others have been busy digging past actions that the idol has been showing rudeness to other group members or one of her staff members.
As AllKpop reports, one online community revealed that Irene allegedly showed her true nature during a fan-signing event when her manager walked behind her and was disturbed by it.
In the video, viewers can see her manager walking in the background behind Irene that made her make a facial expression that she was annoyed and looks behind to see who it was.
Then, Irene calls our her manager and says, “Unnie, you keep thumping when you run! Thump! Thump!” saying that the manager is shaking the stage. After that, the manager comes near to the idol and thumps even more as a joke. When the clip was shared, some netizens pointed out that the singer is very sensitive.
Also, there was a variety show from On Style titled “Laundry Day,” where fellow label mate Doyoung from NCT shared a revelation that he was scared of Irene.
The NCT member stated that there is a room that Irene usually practices, and the trainees would name that room “Joohyun’s Room” to avoid that specific room at all costs.
Doyoung added a daily log where trainees could book practice rooms and avoid that room when they want to a reservation, and if the trainees happened to practice on the same day as Irene, they could not use the extra time.
Meanwhile, a former SM Entertainment stylist, Ellena Yim, defended Irene in the light of the controversy. On October 22, the former stylist stated on social media shared her experience working with Irene, saying that there are two sides to the story and has never experienced rude behavior towards the idol.

But the Irene I’ve met is someone who has a clear understanding of what she wants and has the talent to deliver her opinions clearly. She was just a talented and smart artist.
