Actress Seo Ye Ji is reported to make a comeback on the small screen with a new project, OCN drama Island (working title)!
According to her agency Gold Medalist, Seo Ye Ji received an offer to cast as the female lead of a new OCN drama series, Island, and is still reviewing it.
The new OCN drama Island is a fantasy genre that tells the story of a rich and beautiful heiress, dismissed to Jeju Island by her family after making controversial headlines. It is delving into the hidden secrets on Jeju Island, a beautiful island in the South Sea where monsters and goblins have been lying, aiming to destroy the human world and targeting an heiress as their prey.
On Jeju Island, the heiress falls into danger when abducted by Yokai, plotting to eliminate humanity. She can only be saved and protected from the monsters' tentacles by a veiled Yokai hunter. The story also revolves and will put puzzles of their destiny and fate together.
If Seo Ye Ji confirms to appear in the drama, she will portray the role of Won Mi Ho, the female heiress and the only daughter of the wealthy family, the chairman of the Korea Group. She seems to be indiscreet and supercilious but is a woman who looks a bit lonely.
She was born rich but sent to Jeju Island after making controversial news for the worst "gapjil case" (gapjil is an expression that refers to an arrogant attitude or actions of South Korea people positions of power over others). Seo Ye Ji, appointed as an ethics teacher at Tamago High School, but her life turns upside down when she encounters a monsters train.
Meanwhile, Seo Ye Ji recently gained much love and massive popularity for her role after the successful tvN drama series It's Okay To Not Be Okay. And now, she will be giving out to make her comeback with OCN's Island.
OCN's Island will reportedly premiere sometime in the first half of 2021 with a total of ten episodes.
