2020 is indeed a good year for our Bangtan Boys despite the pandemic. After hitting the number 1 spot of the Billboard's HOT 100 earlier with Dynamite and Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo's Savage Love Remix, the majestic BTS did it again with their latest track Life Goes On!
The fans of the massively popular K-pop group have been waiting for this Billboard's latest edition of the Hot 100 chart. Thanks to the boys' massive influence and good music, the ARMYs were not disappointed as it was revealed that BTS has once again taken the chart's top spot.
On November 30, the HOT 100 chart ranking for the week dated December 5 was released by Billboard. With their songs, Life Goes On and Dynamite, BTS came in first and third place.
The Only Predominantly Korean Song To Hit The Top Spot
The septet has set another incredible milestone as the song Life Goes On became the first predominantly Korean song in the 62-year history to top Billboard's 'Hot 100' chart.
The newly released track is also the first song sung in a non-English language to debut at the summit. Simultaneously the superstar group is the first duo or group in history to have two songs debut at the top of the chart.
More Staggering Achievements Of BTS
In over 42 years since the reign of The Bee Gees, BTS has now achieved the fastest accumulation of three Hot 100 No. 1s. The legendary American group also did the feat beginning in December 1977 in just two months and three weeks with songs from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.
More to the group's achievements, Life Goes On garnered 14.9 million U.S. streams and 150,000 sales in the week ending November 26. This is per the digits released by Nielsen Music/MRC Data. Furthermore, in the week ending November 29, the song also drew 410,000 radio airplay audience impressions.
Now that the Bangtan boys have broken ground with Life Goes On, the sky's the limit for the group. Congratulations once again, BTS, for this fantastic achievement!
