Apink’s Jung Eun Ji released her comeback solo mini-album “Simple” on July 15, along with the music video of its title track.
The mini album’s track “Away” was written personally by Jung Eun Ji, which talks about running away somewhere for a bit.

The promising singer talked about how she felt coming back as a solo act after quite a while. Jung Eun Ji revealed that she was nervous and shaking since it has already been long since she released an album, and she wanted to level with the expectations of the fans who have been waiting for her return.
Besides discussing the singer’s fears, she also shared that the mini-album teasers she released received positive feedback from the fans. She said that the journey was a collective process. Everyone, including her staff, worked hard to create a quality output worth sharing with the fans, including organizing her concepts for her YouTube videos.
Jung Eun Ji, on questions about her “what I wanted to do,” and “what would I do if want to provide comfort to others,” says she created the new track “Away” with a refreshing and light aura. While her previous music was warm, she said, “Away” has a fresher sound with a band.
With hopes, the singer wanted to give comfort and strength to people who are feeling worn out by the summer heat.
In charge of producing all the songs in her new album, the singer expressed that the more she worked on music, the more she thought about the quality of music she wanted to make, the kind of music her fans would want to listen for a long time.
The singer also talked about her journey working with talented singers like Sunwoo JungA, 10cm, and So Soon Bin. She said that with the varying styles of the singers she was able to work with, she learned a lot and felt comfortable working with them.
Jung Eun Ji expressed that her album “Simple” means a lot to her. The album was a product of deep thinking and planning. “I hope that the albums I will release in the future will keep comforting and connecting with people.”
