The new soccer team “FC Rumor W” formed by female all-stars has been facing allegations by haters, Apink’s Oh Hayoung and Gugudan’s Sejeong clarifies the issue.

On July 19, Hayoung took to Instagram to share a photo showing a formation of a new all-female non-professional soccer club called “FC Rumor.” With a caption of “A hobby to which I am grateful. For the development of women’s soccer,” Kim Sejeong also shared the same photo.

Per Soompi, the now-deleted photo showed that the soccer club had been formed on July 18. The picture which shows the back of the girls in a uniform reveals famous names such as BESTie’s Uji, Gugudan’s Nayoung, TWICE’s Jihyo, and Mina, EXID’s Jeonghwa, and actress Kim Sae Ron.

The soccer team called “FC Rumor” also created an Instagram account that was now turned private. The Instagram account also indicated that the new group being formed with all female-members is also called “FC Rumor W.”

However, as reported by Koreaboo, the recent updates about the new soccer group invited many haters who claim that “FC Rumor W” has been created as an excuse for the female celebrities to meet up with the affiliated male soccer group “FC Rumor” and date.

Later on that day, Hayoung posted a statement on Twitter to end the rumors. The idol said that she has been receiving a lot of online comments to read, and she thinks that many people are worried, so she posted on her Twitter account.

The idol expressed her surprise from the malicious comments and DMs she received as an effect to her post. Many of those, she considers, are issues she heard for the first time.

Hayoung explained that they created the club because they want to exercise and develop a sort of competition. She noted that the girl-members of the club has no relationship with the male members of the “FC Rumor.”

Meanwhile, Kim Sejeong also posted on her Instagram account, saying that the male and female teams are not in a relationship with each other. She explained that their group doesn’t know who is on the other soccer team and that they created it because they want to learn more about soccer and get a new hobby.
