The BTS members are already in their early to mid-20s, meaning fans have discussed the question of military duty on several occasions.

In South Korea, males between the ages of 18 and 28 have to join the armed forces for about two years to help their fellow men serve their country. BTS' older members are either 28 or close to that age, and fans are already eagerly waiting and see what they're going to do with this regard.

Previously, BTS has decided on something that might theoretically push back its service in the military, which now has caused several people to believe that they might deliberately seek to postpone the inevitable. When it comes to Korean military service, K-pop stars are never excluded.

Fans asked the government to issue BTS a waiver for military service a couple of years ago. The point is that BTS has done a great deal in boosting the reputation of their nation.

They have gained a global reputation and contributed billions of dollars to the tourist industry. However, at the end of 2019, officials from the Korean government stated that the band would not be exempted from having their military service.

Recently, BTS members were reported to have enrolled in a Masteral Program. What is going to occur after their decision to pursue higher education is not conclusive.

It is recommended that BTS do what several other K-pop bands did, like sending a few members to the military, leaving others behind to continue the band's operations. They could also work on having individual activities as a solo act while others render their service to the military until they could reunite.

Upon their enrollment, many analysts suggest that BTS is seeking to postpone its enlistment as long as possible.

Jimin and V recently completed an MBA program at Hanyang Cyber University in advertisement and digital marketing as per South China Morning Post. Jin, RM, Suga, and J-Hope are already registered for the program, excluding the youngest member Jungkook.

South Korean legislation allows a person to defer their army duty if they study for a graduate degree, and critics argue that this might be a chance for BTS to hold stuff off.

However, according to INQPOP, Big Hit Entertainment refuted such assertions, emphasizing, "The members' enrollment to graduate education is not part of their military service, but because they possess the willingness and a passion for learning they all decided to proceed to school."

In 2019, Jin also revealed in an interview with CBS his expressed intent to serve in the armed forces. He said, "This is normal as a Korean. One day, we'll be prepared to respond whenever trouble arises, and duty calls, and do our best."
