The managing label of 1THE9 addresses the imminent disbandment of the band.

1THE9 is a short - term project band created by the "Under 19" MBC competition audition program The group made its first appearance in April 2019 with its first album release "XIX" and opening track "Spotlight."

On July 27, Joy News 24, confirmed that the band would officially disband on August 8 of this year. It is undeniable that 1THE9 was initially supposed to dissolve on July 8, but its deadline had to be changed following its recent return due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. (via Soompi)

However, according to Joy News 24, the company's management PocketDol Studio sent out an essential form to the representatives of the respective agencies detailing the additional month of the 1THE9 for the band's operations. This is why 1THE9 launched its third and last "Turn Over" song on July 16.

According to Joy News 24, the official letter specifies August 8 as the deadline for 1THE9's disbandment. Still, if another advertising campaign for their latest album occurs after August 8, the band will continue to do those activities.

Regarding that report, a PocketDol Studio source confirmed with SPO TV News, "We sent out an official letter to each participant's company. 1THE9 advertising campaigns end on August 8, and their band operations end that day. The members will, therefore, go back to their own managing labels."

ABOUT 1THE9

1THE9 was created by the survival competition show 'Under Nineteen,' which had been broadcast on MBC from November 3, 2018, to February 9, 2019. The final nine were selected by the audiences vote from the original 57 trainees involved and revealed through live television transmission.

The final representatives were classified during the last broadcasting and qualified to debut by public votes. It was confirmed the final roster would do a V Live to show appreciation. It was then revealed that the vocal unit director, Crush, would compose and produce the band's premiering single.
