BLACKPINK has dropped their teaser for the first full-length album comeback along with its official date launch!

YG Entertainment revealed the teaser mentioned above on July 28.

The album will be released on October 2, 2020, entitled BLACKPINK THE ALBUM. A source cited by the company said, "BLACKPINK will concentrate systematically and extensively on the international industry by 2020. The global project that we are undertaking with Universal Music, the world's largest firm, to have the phenomenal girl band BLACKPINK embark on a more successful path is progressively gaining momentum." BLACKPINK's Music

The very first Korean EP, Square Up, was launched in June 2018 and premiered on top of the Gaon music charts. On the 200 Billboard Square up ranked at # 40 and produced the 'Ddu-Du Ddu- Du' successful single on the Digital Chart of Gaon for three consecutive weeks. The first band to appear in the Billboard Hot 100 was Ddu-Du-Du, which first got its start at 55th spot and the fourth-highest point in the world's digital album sales list.

The song received a platinum rating in South Korea as of April 2019 for streaming and downloading. In October 2018, the band partnered on the record "Kiss and Make Up" with the British artist Dua Lipa, gaining international commercial success.

On April 5, 2019, a digital publication of the second Korean EP 'Kill This Love' was released. Earlier on April 23, 2019, a physical version of the album came out.

The EP was well-reviewed and commercially successful. In China separately, the first week of their track 'Kill This Love' produced more than 350,000 units and in South Korea about 250,000 physical units during the first eight days. 'Kill This Love' ranked on Billboard 200 at number 24 to enabling the BLACKPINK the top chart.
