Eric did not compose one or two, but four of the songs in The Other Side. On July 20, in a movie theatre's moody environment, the vocalist impressed audiences with his mesmerizing images. In the accompanying ethereal concept picture, Eric Nam took a sneak peek into the theme of the opening track "Paradise."
On July 28, Eric Nam's glorious images were shown to the fans, but this time in the format of a video preview with a title song named The Other Side. On the day before the record's launch, the great singer boosted his fans' expectations with a stunning medley.
The album includes five titles: 'Trouble With you,' 'Paradise,' and 'How you been' as well as 'Down for you.' The Korean version of Eric Nam's hit English song Love Die Young' is part of the compilation.
Eric Nam aims with his album to share the idea that a person's daily existence has two parts. It could look glad and perfect on the ground. There may be a latent disappointment, though, that under a concrete façade, they are attempting to hide. The album reflects optimism for those who struggle with the underlying sense of sadness and seamlessly communicates its nature.
"My mental activity and felt I needed to focus on communicating them. I try to put my narratives into it when I work on songs. If this is pain, joy, gratefulness, or nostalgia, I seek to express my truthful sentiments. I'd say that throughout the music composition, I concentrated on myself the most."
