Singer and actor Lee Seung Gi has been confirmed as the male lead for tvN's new action/thriller 'Mouse'.

Lee Seung Gi will play the role of a rookie police officer named Jung Ba Reum. The story follows Jung Ba Reum as he comes face to face with a psychopath serial killer, whose ruthless murders have thrown the entire nation into chaos. Then, after surviving his encounter with this psychopath, Jung Ba Reum's life begins to change completely.

Actor Choi Jin Hyuk is also confirmed as a main role along Lee Seung Gi for the upcoming drama. They will be acting as detective partners in the story. This will be their second time acting together.

Choi Jin Hyuk and Lee Seung Gi once acted as father and son for the drama ‘Gu Family Book’. In the said drama, Idol turned actress, Bae Suzy, acted as Lee Seung Gi’s love interest.

Coincidentally, Lee Seung Gi and Bae Suzy reunited as main leads in the action drama ‘Vagabond’ in 2019, which was Lee Seung Gi’s last drama prior to confirming his new upcoming drama ‘Mouse’.

The drama ‘Mouse’ is said to premiere in the first half of 2021. Details about the filming and script reading are yet to be revealed.

For the meantime, Lee Seung Gi is currently a fixed host for SBS’ reality variety show ‘Master in the House’ where the cast members will spend two days and one night together with reputable figures of various fields or professions, known as Masters, and get to know about the lives of the Masters, in the hopes of gaining knowledge and wisdom.

There are also 1-day Masters in the show, which the cast would instead spend a day together with. Since there are 1-day Masters, the cast also invites 1-day disciples that will join them as special guests for the day.

‘Master of the House’ has been running since December 31, 2017 to present.
