BLACKPINK recently faced off in a competitive fun go-kart racing!
The seventh episode of BLACKPINK’s Youtube reality series “24/365 with BLACKPINK” was released on August 15.
BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Lisa, Rosé, and Jennie, received go-kart safety lessons first before going on the “BLACKPINK Speed Racing Championship.” Rosé and Jennie were confident and excited for the adventure while Jisoo and Lisa were nervous.
Jung Joon and Kim Dae Kyum, racing commentators, joined with BLACKPINK in the event, predicting that Jisoo or Rosé would be the race winner.
They said that since Jisoo enjoys playing, they thought she would also do well in the race as she was comfortably playing games. On the other hand, they also said that Rosé would be excellent on the track for she is a fanatic of extreme activities and enjoys being active.
The girls engaged in a driving test to get used to the racecourse. Lisa was on the lead and later on, caught up by Rosé and Jennie while Jisoo was carefully driving at a steady pace behind all of them.
In Rosé and Jennie’s spirited race for first place, Rosé allowed Jennie to get the first place in their practice race when she accidentally drove off-course while turning in the corner.
BLACKPINK met up with the commentators after their practice race, and Jennie was asked by the commentators what could have been in her mind when she caught up with Lisa and wondered why she is going so slow. Lisa charmingly inserted that she was scared and felt terrible when Jennie passed by but added that she looked cool anyway.
The commentators asked Jisoo about her cautious driving, complimenting her not forgetting to greet the cameras before. Jisoo kiddingly requested everyone to look forward to her different side for the actual race.
Lisa came as the first competitor when their official lap-time game began. According to the commentators, good lap time on a particular course would be around 1 minute and 20 to 30 seconds.
With a safe and successful race, Lisa finished the race safely and successfully at 2 minutes and nine seconds. Still, the group
pretended that she had a record time of 1 minute and 30 seconds and excitedly welcomed her.
Next, was Rosé, whose speed made Jisoo jokingly commented as a reckless driver. She reached record time of 1:48. However, Jennie landed in first place with a time 1:36 and shocked everyone with her impressive driving.
Last to compete was Jisoo, which to everyone’s surprise, ended up second place with a time of 1 minute and 42 seconds who played on more speed than her careful practice race.
