ABOUT NAM GYURI
Nam Gyu-Ri is an artist and South Korean performer. She was a member of a Korean female trio SeeYa. Nam Gyu-Ri had a legal battle with the band's managing label in 2009 and led her to depart the agency. Nam also participated in the movie Death Bell and the series 49 Days.
CAREER
In April 2009, SeeYa's managing agency, Core Contents Media, reported that Nam Gyu-Ri had breached its contract conditions by failing to fulfill its obligations as a SeeYa member. The firm has also asserted that it might pursue legal action toward Gyu-Ri.
While the company subsequently confirmed she would return, it was ultimately discovered that the problems were not addressed, prompting Gyu-Ri to decide to leave for good.
Upon officially leaving the party, Nam released an official statement through her representatives, where she said that she could not come back to SeeYa.
Gyu-Ri revealed in the announcement that the explanation for her withdrawal is that she is more interested in pursuing a career as an actor than in music. Since both directions were difficult to follow, she had realized she had to consider giving up operating with the band.
