The confirmation of the South Korean singer and actor Im Seulong to proceed police prosecution team is all a fact. The authorities holding the case of Im Seulong have decided to move forward for investigation next week.
In a report by Kpopstarz, referencing to Star News' article, the stage of the actor's case is on its final stage, leading the authorities to summon Im Seulong for another round of closed-door investigation.
On August 1, at precisely 11:50 in the evening, the actor caused a road accident at a pedestrian near DMC Station's three-way bus top in Susaek-ro, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul. The incident had the SUV driven by the actor hit a man jaywalking that caused his death during the collision.
The tragic accident led the authorities to charge the actor with committing a breach of the Act on Special Cases that concerns the Handling of Traffic Accidents. After the investigation, the actor was sent home after he tested negative of alcohol or driving under the influence.
"We took proper measures at the scene right after the accident, but unfortunately, the victim died while being transported to the hospital," Im Seulong said after the accident.
Despite sending the actor home, the police investigators dug in with accident's details where they secured a CCTV footage and black boxes of Im Seulong's vehicle. The case requires the investigator to summon the actor for further questioning but was failed to do so last week and are likely to proceed this week. The closed-door meeting between Im Seulong and the police officers will reveal further details of the accident.
For the time being, the police are on the verge of putting out the case's conclusion, and once done, they will immediately send it to the prosecution next week. Im Seulong and his agency are yet to comment about the case progress.
