Cha Joong Gwang, the icon who was given the title "Korean Elvis Presley," recently died at the age of 75, as confirmed by the sources. The senior singer, famous for "My Love Mina" and "Eternal My House," had been suffering and fighting cancer.
Joong Gwang had been at the medical facility in Jayang-dong, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 27th, where he eventually took his last breath, as per news sources. (via Kpopstarz)
The Korean Elvis Presley suffered enormously from cancer of the bladder and blood poisoning due to heart failure. Cha Joong Gwang's most previous public appearance was this February of this year's KBS 1TV "Gayo Stage." His remnants are now at the funeral service at Konkuk University Hospital housed in room 202 and accessible on the 29th.
Born in 1945, after a group work at the Itaewon club in 1965, Cha Joong Gwang started his singing career after his neighbors and friends' support. The late musician got early recognition because he served as the group's lead vocalist, Main Voice, thus gaining him the label of "Korea's Elvis Presley."

The deceased icon, Cha Joong Gwang, began his professional career as a musician after his elder brother Cha Joong-Rak died in Seongdong High School as a baseball player at Sungkyunkwan University. Cha Joong Gwang, too, has previously worked as a part of the Gaze Andols community in 1965 and formally made its debut in 1969 with the track "My House for Eternal Life," commemorating his brother.
Cha Joong Gwang's son is identified as the guitarist Cha Seung Woo, who was also born into music. Cha Seung Woo was also actively engaged in the punk rock band called 'No Brain and Monotones.'
