OCN's "Missing: The Other Side" and SBS' "Alice" kicks off with solid ratings!
The new mystery fantasy drama, "Missing: The Other Side," tells the village's story inhabited by souls who went missing while they are still alive. The drama featured the star-studded cast Go Soo, Heo Joon Ho, Ah So Hee, and Ha Joon as it aired the first episode of the series.
"Missing: The Other Side" managed to surpass the personal record of its predecessor "Train,"- the drama that previously occupied its time slot. Based on the report of Nielsen Korea, "Missing: The Other Side" garnered an average nationwide rating of 1.7 percent, surpassing the highest rating of "Train" during its entire run. "Train" recorded the highest rating in its airing with a nationwide average of 1.4 percent.
Meanwhile, the new sci-fi thriller of Joo Won and Kim Hee Sun, "Alice," enjoyed a significant increase in viewership for its second episode garnering average nationwide ratings of 6.4 percent and 9.2 percent for its two parts.
On August 28, the first episode of "Alice" aired, and the household's viewers warmly accepted it as it took first place in its time slot across all public broadcast channels. It premiered with average nationwide ratings of 4.1 percent and 6.1 percent for its two parts.
The KBS 2TV's popular weekend drama "Once Again" also broke its record for its highest Saturday ratings to date, scoring average nationwide ratings of 30.2 percent and 35.5 percent. Viewership for KBS weekend drama is typically significantly lower on Saturdays compared to Sundays.
Finally, scoring an average rating of 6.0 percent for the night is the tvN's "Forest of Secrets 2" while garnering an average rating of 4.9 percent is JTBC's "Graceful Friends."
Recently, the broadcast of JTBC's "Graceful friends" was canceled due to a special report about COVID-19. And on September 4 and 5, will be the schedule of the drama's final two-week episode.
