The casts of the iconic drama series ‘Reply 1988’ just had a mini-reunion and it is giving everyone major feels!
On June 22, actor Lee Dong Hwi posted photos with the casts on his official Instagram account. The photos show co-stars Park Bo Gum, Go Kyung Pyo, Girl’s Day’s Hyeri, Lee Dong Hwi, and Ryu Hye Young as they pose in a photo booth, in front of a mirror.
Fans have also taken note that the casts were wearing similar shirts in green hues, which made their reunion look more adorable.
Aside from Dong Hwi, co-star Go Kyung Pyo also uploaded some photos of what transpired during their reunion. He captioned the photos, “It’s good to see you all. It’s been a while.”
Out of the series' main cast, only Kim Jung Hwan was absent in the reunion.
Reply 1988 is a television series starring Lee Hye-Ri, Park Bo-gum, Go Kyung-Pyo, Ryu Jun-yeol, and Lee Dong-Hwi. Set in the year 1988, it revolves around five friends and their families living in the same neighborhood of Ssangmun-dong, Dobong District, Northern Seoul.
Reply 1988 is the third installment of tvN's Reply series. It received both critical and audience acclaim with its finale episode recording an 18.8% nationwide audience share, making it the fourth highest-rated drama in Korean cable television history as per Wikipedia. And now, ‘Reply 1988’ is already available in Netflix for streaming.
Although it has been years since the drama ended, the casts met up from time to time They have developed a strong bond with each other as their characters did in the series.
It can be recalled that just after the drama series ended, four of the casts joined Youth Over Flowers In Africa!, a travel reality show where the guys traveled to Namibia, a country located in Africa in search of the beautiful Victoria Falls.
The cast members, except for Bo Gum who was in Korea at that time, were actually "kidnapped" by the 'Youth Over Flowers' production crew during their vacation in Phuket, Thailand.
During the trip, the casts talked about their roles in the drama and they also got to share emotional and tearful conversations, which helped in strengthening their budding bond even more.
