Oh Jung Se and Sung Dong Il joined the cast of “Mount Jiri!”
A mystery drama, “Mount Jiri,” is about the park rangers climbing through the mysterious and unexplored regions of Mount Jiri, the tallest mountain in mainland South Korean, to rescue people.
Oh Jung Se and Sug Dong II confirmed on September 10 to be joining the cast of “Mount Jiri.” Earlier this month, Joo Ji Hoon casts as Kang Hyun Jo, a military academy graduate with a deep secret for he joined as a new park ranger on Mount Jiri. On the other hand, Jun Ji Hyun portrays Seo Yi Kang, the top ranger who is knowledgeable enough to navigate the National Park of Mount Jiri.
Oh Jung Se, who recently appeared with his role in drama “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” will play Jung Goo Young. He was an extremely practical ranger who believes saving himself first is the key to protecting others. He regularly takes vacation days, leaves his job right on the clock, and even disappears even before being dismissed.
Sung Dong II will portray Jo Dae In, the head of the Haedong Branch Office in Mount Jiri National Park, and called as “Mount Jiri Man” because of being a ranger half of his life. He lives honest and straightforward, committed fully to his job, and takes responsibility for his junior rangers.
According to a source from the drama stated that there is no doubt that sung Dong II and Oh Jung Se were actors trustworthy right after hearing their names.
“Mount Jiri” is written by Kim Eun Hee, who also wrote the dramas like “Signal,” “Ghost,” “Sign,” “Three Days,” and the “Kingdom” series on Netflix. Collaborated with director Lee Eung Bok, known for dramas like “School 2013,” “Goblin,” “Dream High,” “Mr. Sunshine,” and “Descendants of the Sun.”
The upcoming drama “Mount Jiri” sets to premiere sometime in 2021.
