Kang Ha Neul won a prestigious award in his excellent performance in "When the Camellia Blooms" as officer Hwang Yong Sik!
As reported by Kdramastars, the actor on September 10 continued to shine as he took the Best Actor Award at the 47th KBS Broadcasting Awards ceremony. The Korea Broadcasting Association hosted the program.
Kang Ha Neul, receiving the actor award is his second for the same role. The role he portrayed used his words of compliments and encouragement to express his feelings and heal Dong Baek's (Gong Hyo Jin) wounded heart.
The winning performance of Kang Ha Neul in the drama and the drama's storyline touches the hearts of the viewers as he becomes the pillar of strength and inspiration for Dong Baek to live in happiness despite the hardships she encounters. Though Dong Baek, in the drama, was an orphan and a single mother, Hwang Yong Sik gave her shelter on his heart and cherished her with all his heart.
During the awarding ceremony, Kang Ha Neul received his award and thanked everyone for their unending support. He spoke that he thanks all the supportive seniors whom he worked with on the drama "When the Camelia Blooms." "I am happy with the award. One good reason why I won this award is because of my co-star Gong Hyo Jin's help, and I wanted to thank him for that.
Moreover, the Best Actor award is Kang Ha Neul's fourth recognition in the same category for his portrayal in "When the Camellia Blooms" from the different award-winning bodies.
Meanwhile, during the awarding, Kang Ha Neul surprised his fans with his new look. He received the award with a bearded face and long hair, which gives hints regarding his new character as Woo Cha Mi in the upcoming film "Pirates 2." The movie was said to be action-packed and follows the story of pirates and bandits in search of a seal on the sea before founding the Joseon dynasty.
