SBS’s new sci-fi drama “Alice’s” ratings are going strong!
The September 18 episode of the sci-fi action thriller starring Joo Won and Kim Hee Sun, according to Nielsen Korea, scored an average nationwide rating of 7.4 percent and 8.6 percent for its two parts.
Although he drama’s ratings dropped in viewership from its previous episode last week, on Friday, they set a new record for the highest viewership ratings that “Alice” has achieved to date. The viewership on Fridays is typically lower compared to Saturdays.
“Alice” follows the story of an emotionless detective named Park Jin Gyeom (Joo Won) searching for his mother’s killer, who ends up investigating time-traveling assassins who use a mysterious device called “Alice.” He then meets Yoon Tae Yi (Kim Hee Sun) in the process, a genius physicist who looks exactly like his mother.
In the September 18 episode of “Alice,” Joo Hae Min (played by Yoon Joo Man) threatened Yoon Tae Yi. He is a mysterious serial killer suspected of being a time traveler. Furthermore, Yoon Tae Yi is revealed to be the daughter of Dr. Jang Dong Sik (played by Jang Hyun Sung), who was killed in 1992 because he had the prophecy. Park Jin Gyeom decided it was best that he and Yoon Tae Yi live together so that he could protect her after realizing that Yoon Tae Yi caught a glimpse of the prophecy.
Meanwhile, the average nationwide rating of Channel A’s “Lie After Lie” scored 2.9 percent for the night.
The new suspense-romance drama “Lie After Lie” stars Lee Yoo Ri as Ji Eun Soo, a woman who puts her life on the line with a dangerous lie to be reunited with her biological daughter. Ji Eun Soo finds herself branded a husband-killer in the blink of an eye after marrying into a chaebol family. And during her imprisonment for her husband’s murder, she loses custody of her daughter.
