KARD member J.Seph is set to enlist in the mandatory military service. But before he tackles the military, he left a special note to his fans as a way to say goodbye.
All South Korean male citizens are required to enlist in the military by the age of 28, and K-pop idols are still not exempted from this. Before KARD member J.Seph steps into his mandatory military service, he shared a special letter for his fans via social media, to thank them to their undying support from him and his group.
In the letter, J.Seph reminisced his days in starting his career in 2011 at 20 years old. The idol then stated that he could spend his early 20s dearly and meaningfully as a member of KARD.
J.Seph also said that he would be enlisting in the military on October 5 with others older than him and confessed that he is a little afraid of the new experience. Still, he is looking forward to his new identity.
J.Seph then address the fans to look out for the other members of the group: Matthew, Somin, and Jiwoo and also to keep supporting KARD while he was gone for the moment. He then added that he would faithfully carry out his duties as a Korean man and proudly return to everyone’s side.
In addition to J.Seph’s letter, KARD’s agency, DSP Media, sends a message to their fans. In the letter, the agency stated that they would respect J.Seph’s wishes to enlist on October 5 privately with his family.
The agency also stated that the time and place for the KARD member’s enlistment would not be shared with the public, to refrain them from attending the said enlistment.
In the meantime, fans can check out KARD’s album“Way With Words” with singles “GUNSHOT,” “AH EE YAH,” and “HOLD ON.”
