Taecyeon finally breaks silence after recent news about him dating a non-celebrity girlfriend got out.
On June 23, rumors circulated about Taecyeon spotted in Gangwon Province, dating a non-celebrity girlfriend. At the same day, 51K, Taecyeon's agency, confirmed that the idol-actor is definitely in a relationship with a girlfriend outside the industry.
On July 1, Taecyeon took to Instagram to share his side regarding his agency's sudden announcement concerning his recent dating rumors.
He wrote in his Instagram his apologies to his fans about the sudden news. He said that he is sorry for what happened and for the time that passed before sharing his thoughts about the said issue.
Taecyeon continued saying that he knows many people are worried about him, and committed that he will continue to do his best as an actor and as a member of 2PM just like what he is doing right now. He also asked his fans to keep watching over him.
He closed his Instagram post by saying thanks to his fans for cheering him despite his imperfections.
It's been just a year since Taecyeon was discharged from the military since he had been enlisted from September 4, 2017, to May 16, 2019, in Ilsan in Gyeonggi. After he was released, he starred in the MBC drama titled, "The Game: Towards Zero."
According to Soompi, Taecyeon is currently working with a new movie entitled "Hansan" (working title). The film is said to be his first "Sageuk" –historical/period drama directed by Kim Han Min.
"Hansan" is a movie about the battle of Hansan Island, Soompi wrote. It is a sea-fight between the Japanese and Korean fleets that took place in Hansan Island in 1592.
Taecyeon will play the role of a Korean Naval Army named Joon Young. Alongside the stars Park Hae II, Byun Yo Han, and Kim Sung Kyu.
