On July 4, according to Soompi, the actor Kim Min Suk will not be returning to his base anymore after his final leave. The actor is supposed to be discharged on July 20 but was released early instead as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ministry of National Defense has been discharging soldiers during their final leave to prevent the risk of spreading coronavirus.
Respect Entertainment, Kim Min Suk's agency, confirmed to NewsEn, "Kim Min Suk's scheduled discharge on the military is on July 20 while his leave will begin on July 5. Based on the COVID-19 precautions, soldiers are not going back to their base after their final leave to be released without his return. Kim Min Suk will be discharged quietly without any special events due to the spread of COVID-19." Per Soompi.
According to Allkpop, Kim Min Suk enlisted at the Nonsan Training Center in South Chungcheong province on December 10, 2018, and assigned as the army's "Scientific Combat Training Corps." On February 12, 2019, the actor's agency confirmed that he received his military assignment at the Korea Combat Training Center, and received training at the engineering school.
