SBS's The Penthouse and MBC's Kairos kicked-off with a fair start in the Monday-Tuesday evening time slot!
On October 26, the two new dramas aired. The Penthouse is about the people who inhabit a wealthy 100-floor penthouse apartment. It is penned by a well-known screenwriter Kim Soon Ok. Lee Ji Ah, Kim So Yeon, and Eugene starred in the thriller melodrama.
Starring actors Shin Sung Rok and Lee Se Young, Kairos is a fantasy thriller about a man and a woman who connects through a phone call. Despite living in different times, they are desperately searching for their missing loved ones.
According to Nielsen Korea, The Penthouse bagged an average nationwide rating of 6.7, 9.2, and 9.1 percent on its small screen debut. The rating of the drama's kick-off is notedly higher than the finale ratings of its predecessor in this time slot, Do You Like Brahms?. The digits reveal a strong start for the weekday evening drama, which approaches the 10 percent mark upon its debut.
Furthermore, the debut of Kairos on MBC revealed the average nationwide ratings of 2.7 and 3.7 percent. KBS's Zombie Detective made a slight drop from last week's rating record. It garnered 2.1 and 2.2 percent ratings.
The drama about a man on the brink of divorce who suddenly finds himself back in the body of his 18-year-old self, JTBC's 18 Again, achieved 2.573 percent ratings. The drama casts Lee Do Hyun playing the teenage version. Yoon Sang Hyun as the older version of Lee Do Hyun and Kim Ha Neul is playing as the wife.
Moreover, MBN's My Dangerous Wife, which is about a couple who married for love but struggled to keep their marriage alive, tallied a score of 2.208 percent ratings. The drama casts Choi Won Young and Kim Jung Eun. Both 18 Again and My Dangerous Wife drop from the last episode's ratings.
However, with 7.625 percent ratings, the drama of tvN set in the modeling industry, Record of Youth remained firm on its timeslot.
