2PM's Nichkhun will star on the silver screen once again in an upcoming Hollywood film!
On November 3, the K-Pop idol Nichkhun cast as the protagonist in an upcoming Hollywood movie entitled Hong Kong Love Story, announced by JYP Entertainment.
Hong Kong Love Story is a romantic comedy directed by Keoni Waxman. Byron Mann is a Hong Kong-American Idol who starred in movies like The Big Short and Netflix series Altered Carbon, and Wu Assassins will also be joining in the film along with 2PM's Nichkhun. Also, Kenneth Tsang stars in the film, a veteran Hong Kong actor cast in the James Bond movie Die Another Day and Memoirs of Geisha, and appeared in Rush Hour 2 with Jackie Chan.
Byron Mann's real-life experiences are said to be the basis of the upcoming Hollywood film. Nichkhun and Byron will play together as the sons of wealthy families who go through various Hong Kong incidents, which teaches them the real meaning of love and friendship.
Polish rising actress Dominika Kachlik will portray the female protagonist that will test the two male characters' friendship.
Aaron Shershaw will act as the executive producer in Hong Kong Love Story. He previously worked and took part as the project manager in Pacific Rim: Uprising. The film's production will begin sometime in December.
In 2018, 2PM's Nichkhun starred in a Thai movie titled Brother of the Year, a romantic comedy movie about the relationship between a successful sister and a loser brother.
Apart from playing roles in movies, artist Nichkhun also appeared in television series since 2010, either a character in a web drama or a cameo. He made his cameo appearance in All My Love and Dream High in 2010 and 2011. He also played the role of Rottip kin Arthdal Chronicles.
Viu's Thai original series entitled My Bubble Tea was his recent project and earned the Best Actor in Supporting Role in the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2020. 2PM's Nichkhun also lent his voice in the animated television series Big Hero 6. He is even part of a South Korean quiz variety program called Idol on Quiz.
However, the male artist continued his tour, NICHKHUN Premium Solo 2019-2020 "Story of…" in Tokyo last January 6 and 7, which started on December 26 and 27 in Osaka in 2019.
Ahead of his concert tour, Nichkhun released his second mini-album "Story of…" in Japan, composed of six songs, including Japanese and English versions.
