jTBC network made sure its artists' safety and health by letting them undergo COVID-19 testing, shortly after a supporting actor from upcoming drama Snowdrop tests positive.
Snowdrop cast is safe from the virus
In an Allkpop report, jTBC confirmed to multiple media sites and outlets on November 25 (Wednesday) that the whole cast and crew members of its forthcoming drama series titled Snowdrop are safe from the coronavirus.
The confirmation by the network states that the individuals were taken for COVID-19 testing, and fortunately, all came out as negative.
The case comes after the drama series's production and operations were abruptly suspended because a supporting actor from the drama was in close contact with a person who has the virus. And now, fans were overjoyed to hear the news that as of November 25, the said actor is negative, alongside other crew, artists, and staff.
Furthermore, fans expressed their joy to know that BLACKPINK Jisoo is spared from the pandemic. In heels time of the stunning news of the outbreak, BLINKS from across the globe were worried about Jisoo's well-being, considering she follows a hectic schedule from the band's activities and the drama.
jTBC's Snowdrop is halted
After all the agitating effects of the happening, jTBC was forced to halt the filming operations of Snowdrop to pave the way for the testings. As per Republic World, the drama series was discontinued on November 23 and currently faces an undetermined resume of filming.
"We have not confirmed any rescheduled filming dates, but we plan on resuming filming soon while keeping in line with COVID19 prevention guidelines," jTBC said in a statement.
Moreover, in a different Allkpop report, Snowdrop is initially set for premiere next year, with lead stars BLACKPINK Jisoo, Jung Hae In, Kim Hye Yoon, Jang Seung Jo, and more.
Aside from Snowdrop, other drama series shared confirmation that its crew and staff are corona-free. It includes jTBC's Hush and SBS's Penthouse.
