BTS has proved once more that they are the King of K-pop by making another record-breaking history of dominating the Billboard 200 for their latest album 'BE.'
On November 30, Monday, Soompi reported that Billboard has officially announced BTS's latest album 'BE' had managed to debut at the top spot of their Top 200 Albums chart. The 'Top 200 Albums Chart' is the weekly rank of the most streamed albums in the United States, which BTS successfully dominated upon the debut of their album 'BE.'
Following BTS's momentum for numerous recognitions since their comeback this year and by achieving a major Grammy Awards nomination, BTS is now the first boy band in South Korea to obtain the top spot with two different albums on the Billboard 200.
Moreover, 'BE' is the fifth album to soar at No. 1 spot on Billboard 200, making BTS the South Korean artist dominate the cart with various albums. BTS's previous history with Billboard 200 began with albums 'Love Yourself: Tear,' 'Love Yourself: Answer,' 'Map of the Soul: Persona,' and 'Map of the Soul: 7.'
Furthermore, Billboard did elaborate that BTS's 'BE' has gained a tremendous 242,000 equivalent album units throughout the week ending last November 26, making the total score for BTS's traditional album sales hit 177,000.
Also, 35,000 for the track equivalent album units, and 30, 000 streaming equivalent album units.
The album statistic figures for their latest album 'BE' means that it garnered a total of 48.56 million audio streams during the first week of 'BE' official release. This achievement is indeed another thing to celebrate before the year ends, and fans hope for more prosperous projects in the future for the septet.
