Just two days before the film Josée will hit the big screens, Nam Joo Hyuk participated in an online interview and talked about his character admiration.
Recently, the actor's opposite in the upcoming movie, Han Ji Min, sat down for an interview with the press. In the conversation, she talked about working with Nam Joo Hyuk again.
Working With Han Ji Min Again
Nam Joo Hyuk and Han Ji Min previously worked together in the 2019 Radiant film. Josée is now the second project where they work together.
The actor talked about their reunion, saying that he was able to work on another project with Han Ji Min in a short time. "I can't say there was no pressure at all. Director Kim Jong Kwan had liked our image in 'Radiant' so much," he exclaimed.
As he continued talking, he said that both Han Ji Min and he thought they would work together to create memorable scenes and showcase what we weren't able to in Radiant.
In Playing The Role As Young Suk
Josée is a remake of the Japanese film "Josee, the Tiger, and the Fish." It is based on the novel of the same name.
It follows a woman and a man who embark on the most beautiful chapter of their lives after meeting one another. Han Ji Min and Nam Joo Hyuk, who previously starred in the film Radiant, play the roles of Josée and Young-Suk, respectively.
The actor revealed that he was pressured to star in a remake. He said that he would be lying if he will say there was no pressure.
In talking about his character, Nam Joo Hyuk revealed that he approached the role like a detailed documentary. He added that after acting like that and watching the final product, he felt like Young Suk and Josée's relationship was very natural.
Meanwhile, in a press conference held last month, Nam Joo Hyuk cried while watching a movie clip. Regarding his tears, with a laugh, he said, "I want to apologize once again."
The film Josée will be premiering on December 10.
