Though Korean celebrities try to be discreet as possible to protect their image, there have been a couple of times when they ended up getting harsh criticism because of their behavior or statements.
Below is the list of Korean actors who stumbled into this particular circumstance:
Kim Ji Hoon
Kim Ji Hoon was interviewed in 2013 whether he had any guilty pleasures, and he delivered a notorious response instead. He has confirmed that his guilty pleasure is breaking the traffic laws, as it provides him excitement.
He said, "Maybe I'm a little careless driver, I assume that's fine to say. I mean, I'm not hurting anyone, so I'll be honest. When my friends ride in my car, they're sometimes caught off guard." (Via Koreaboo)
Although the host made sure to inform the actor that his guilty pleasure was unlawful, Kim Ji Hoon still kept on talking about how he finds it entertaining when he breaks road rules and isn't spotted or caught.
Many people on social media didn't like his remarks very much, and others were offended, saying that the actor is selfish and inconsiderate.
Kang Sung Jin
Since their appearance on 'Normal Family,' Kang Sung Jin and his spouse had faced severe backlash.
Kang Sung Jin and his wife decided to throw their child a "coming-of-age" party. According to the couple, they agreed to do so because their child just had his first wet dream.
Many started to scrutinize them for this, especially after seeing their son seeming awkward during the party. Some also worried that their son might get mocked at school and, overall, get traumatized.
Han Si Jun
Actress Han Ji Sun gained notoriety in 2019. It was reported that she got intoxicated and attacked a taxi driver, claiming that the driver was not going to the right destination.
When they took her to the police precinct, She also attacked two police officers, biting them, scratching their bodies, and kicking their legs.
Han Ji Sun was dropped from her lined-up projects after the incident, her fame fading away from the limelight.
