On July 14, Actress Kim Seo Hyung requested termination of her exclusive contract with Madi Pictures after pointing out serious allegations against her manager Jeon Sung Hee, including breaking of trust and financial credits.
Meanwhile, Jeong Seo Hee stood up and revealed that the actress had been abusing her powers and even swore at her, wrote Allkpop.
According to Soompi, Jeon Sung Hee commented on Sports Chosun in response to Kim Seo Yung's allegations. She said that it is true that Madi Pictures received notification of contract termination on July 13. The manager also pointed out that there are no problems with the actress's financial accounts and management issues.
"The actress cut off contact with us, and she requested to remove her agency's information from her public profile in the portal sites. We still can't connect with her." The agency also said that Kim Seo Hyung will still have to finish a commercial contract, and the actress is aware of it. "We are hoping to reach an appropriate agreement."
OSEN released a report with Jeong Sung Hee claiming that Kim Seo Hyung abuses her verbally. The management also said that they're trying their best to triple her pay for her commercial contract, but the actress still asks if how much money they made on their side.
Jeong Sung Hee said that the agency suggested that the actress film a public commercial related to digital sex crimes and that the intention of the promotion was good. They spent two days convincing her. But in response, the actress sent a message through Kakao Talk, saying, "How could you bring me a public commercial using hidden cameras?" and cursed her manager.
Jeung Sung Hee also admitted in her statement that the agency is currently suffering from financial losses. They are in a situation where they can't afford a lawyer and revealed that the actress knows about the situation.
Kim Seung Hyung Releases Another Statement
Meanwhile, Kim Seo Hyung's legal representatives released another statement to make clarifications on their side.
The actress's side emphasized that everyone should take precautions about making public statements to preserve the actress's image, KDramaStars reported.
The legal team expressed, "we did not request a contract termination. We notified the agency that the exclusive contract had been terminated."
Although people tried to reach out to make an amicable resolution, it did not work out. The law firm cited that the actress agreed to work with the manager even without experience because they were friends. Also, the manager's behavior (talking about the actress behind her back), caused strains on the actress's trust.
Moreover, the actress's party expressed that the report about paying a cancellation fee for the commercial is false. Also, the statement of not being able to contact the actress is not true.
According to KDramaStars, Kim Seu Hyung signed the exclusive contract with Madi Pictures in October 2019. She was not connected with any agency between the end of "Sky Castle" and last October.
