K-Pop idols involving themselves in dating rumors are no longer surprising. Still, many internet users seem to enjoy speculating on some of the idols' dating life.
In some cases, some matchmaking rumblings have been assumed on absurd grounds. Here is a compilation of the unfounded theories of dating involving K- pop idols in the industry. (via Koreaboo)
Girls' Generation Yoona and PSY
In 2012, when a photograph of Yoona circulated with a male who resembled PSY, the two idols were embroiled in dating speculation.
Several social media users began to spread gossip that the pair met, and it was a piece of surprising news since PSY is married. Yoona concluded and debunked the accusations right away by explaining that the man in the photo was a cameraman who happened to look like PSY.
BTS' Jungkook and TWICE's Nayeon
In the past, several fans began suspecting Jungkook and Nayeon because they were "obviously" exchanging glances at each other. The rumor went bigger after Jungkook responded with excitement to Nayeon's Idol School Championship wrestling match.
Nonetheless, these were merely assumptions that remain unconfirmed to this day.
BIGBANG's G-Dragon and 2NE1's Sandara Park
These two were engaged in relationship gossip after some fans noticed that the two shared photographs flaunting identical clothes on their social media profiles.
However, whenever the two are involved in these dating rumors, they habitually say that they only see each other as family. They also both said they don't completely understand why they're repeatedly getting involved in such rumors.
GOT7's Bambam and Red Velvet's Irene
Some netizens have been suspicious of BamBam and Irene after BamBam once updated his bio on his Instagram account.
From an emoji cake to 'IR,' he modified it to a heart, eyes, and emoji ring. Some people began to think that the cake referred to Red Velvet's "Ice Cream Cake" or that 'IR' meant Irene. However, BamBam quickly denied such reports.
