BTOB's Peniel, KARD's BM, and previous member of the Ladies' Code Ashley Choi spoke extensively about the ongoing rumor on K-Pop in an episode of 'GET REAL.'
Ashley said that the recruits in the agency would still whisper about famous people while she was a trainee. She mentioned trainees always talking about what they learned about some personalities like who dated who in the past, pregnancy speculations, etc. (via Koreaboo)
BM did not know and did not encounter such experiences because DSP Media trainees didn't have any contacts or acquaintances from other agencies. Peniel said people would make up stories about things they've learned about other famous people while he was a trainee. He has spoken about the fact a few of the stories were utterly baseless, absurd, and trainees chose to believe them anyway.
Nowadays, Ashley hears a lot of speculation about celebrities' behaviors, including reports that specific celebrity individuals are rude. She also talked about how employees are one of the factors that rumors like this circulated.
Peniel has spoken about workers and their gossip spreading capacity. One example he gave is how celebrities can contact their significant other, and individuals like beauticians can see it when they're styling their hair.
Ashley also felt famous people could be falsely labeled. If any celebrities were not in a good mood and first saw anyone of the employees, they do describe the experience and the star "rude," judging from only that encounter.
But BM and Peniel thought it was part of becoming a celebrity, as they must be professionally polite, always smiling even though they do not want to. When he approaches them and wants to acknowledge him back, he believes they're nice, but if they avoid him, he understands they're not the nicest people.
The three-spoke also about many prominent personalities who have regarded them well enough in the past. BM said all Super Junior members were friendly, and he was well treated. Peniel expressed that he was pleased with SHINHWA. For the first time Peniel revealed his hair loss story, he got warm support from a SHINHWA fellow.
