The annual MTV Video Music Awards have officially announced the six 'Best K-pop' award nominees for this year's awards show on July 30 (Thursday), as per Hellokpop. The distinguished nominees are South Korea's most prominent K-pop groups and VMA's other award categories.

It is not a surprise that the Bangtan Boys took their spot on the list. The all-boy ensemble carries their 'ON' banner at this year's VMAs from their comeback album launched in February entitled 'Map of The Soul: 7.' 'On' is nominated on three categories namely 'Best K-pop,' 'Best Pop,' and 'Best Choreography.'

MONSTA X is undoubtedly on the list. Considering the Korean sextet has stormed U.S.'s music scene with their English album 'All About Luv.' Per Koreaboo, the album ranked fifth on the Billboard 200 charts followed by the band's milestone in surpassing 100 million streams on Spotify. The group is aiming to break-a-leg at the VMAs for their 'Someone's Someone' record.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT)
Due to the band's versatility and jaw-dropping visuals, MTV VMAs picked them as the third group to cross swords with fellow label mates, BTS, for the 'Best K-pop' award. TXT will bring their fascinating' 9 and Three Quarters (Run Away)' music video at the awards show.

The South Korean empowered women's eccentric type of music has led them to be nominated as VMAs' 'Best K-pop.' The girl group has left their fans speechless for their hip-hop styled 'Oh my god' track, making it a firm foundation of their cinematic music video.
