Several reports confirmed that Pentagon member Hui has participated in composing a song for the 'Produce 101 Japan' group JO1.
Cube Entertainment also confirmed that Hui lent a hand on composing Produce 101 Japan group, JO1, with their new single 'Oh-Eh-Oh.' Hui also wrote tracks for groups Wanna One's 'Energetic' and Produce 101 Season 2's 'Never.'
On August 1, the group performed the new song on Japan's variety show 'HEY! HEY! NEO! MUSIC CHAMP' for the first time. JO1's 'Oh-Eh-Oh' is the title track of the group's second single 'Stargazer' that is reported to be released on August 26.
An interesting fact about JO1 and Pentagon is that while Pentagon was in the Japan Tour, JO1 member, Kawashiri Ren was a dancer for the group before auditioning for Produce 101 Japan.
Hui On 'Favorite Entertainment'
In other related news, Hui has been busy performing as a trot group for the show 'Favorite Entertainment.' The trot group consists of Hui of Pentagon, MJ of Astro, and Ock Jin Wook and has been promoting the group together.
On the August 1 broadcast of 'Favorite Entertainment,' the show followed the group as they prepared for their first live performance. After practicing for a week, Hui and the rest of the group performed live in front of thirty Koreans and thirty foreigners mixed in. The group performed 'Gimme Gimme' by Kim Shin Young's alter ego Second Aunt Davi, 'Rokkugo!' by Super Junior-T, and 'Come' by Jang Yoon Jung.
After the performance, Hui commented, "Since it was our first performance, we were nervous, and it wasn't perfect. But, I'm thankful that we were able to show what we prepared."
