ABOUT KARD

KARD is a four-membered co-ed band based on South Korea under the management of DSP Media. The group consists of four individuals, namely J.Seph, B.M, Somin, and Jiwoo.

The group made their professional debut with their extended play 'Hola Hola' in July 2017.

PRE-DEBUT

Somin had initially been a member of the Japan-based DSP Media girl band 'Puretty,' which dissolved two years just after 2012 premiere. She eventually joined Kara Project, where she competed to become a new KARA participant and placed second.

She officially launched as leader of DSP Media's girl band April on August 24, 2015, but decided on November 9 to depart the group. J.Seph was trained and prepared under DSP Media for five years, and BM made his preparations for his debut for four and a half years. DSP Media intended to make its premiere in a hip-hop pair; however, the circumstances have changed afterward.

Before debuting in the K-pop scene, BM was starred from Goo Hara's 2015 debut EP Alohara track 'La La La' and BM was also her choreography duo for the music video and musical concerts of her main track 'Choco Chip Cookies.'

The band's last participant was Jiwoo, who had prepared for two years under FNC Entertainment and moved to DSP Media in 2016, where she only prepared for two months before she started her career with KARD.
