As the drama “Backstreet Rookie” is set to conclude this weekend, the lead actors of the SBS’ Friday-Saturday series, Ji Chang Wook and Kim Yoo Jung have shared their experiences on their journey while doing the drama.
Ji Chang Wook took the role of a convenience store owner Choi Dae Hyun, and viewers were impressed as he superbly performs comical acting and heartwarming moments. In the interview, he said he had so much fun during the filming of “Backstreet Rookie” for the past four months. “I believe the last day of filming was bittersweet. I am so thankful to everyone who has enjoyed our drama. Please keep enjoying until the end.”
Meanwhile, the delightful Kim Yoo Jung impressed the viewers with her energetic portrayal as Jung Saet Byul. She moved the viewers by showing Jung Saet Byul’s more vulnerable side and even wowed with her action scenes.
The actress expressed that their last four days were spent on the set all day, and she said that it still did not sink in on her that it was the final day that they would be doing the same thing. Kim Yoo Jung also shared that she remembers every moment, from the first day she appeared on the convenience store to the two of them quarreling and Jung Saet Byul’s action scenes. “I want to share my thanks to all the cast, crew, and director who worked with me and the viewers who never stopped supporting our drama.”
As the “Backstreet Rookie” bids goodbye after two last episodes, it remains a question mark on how things will go for Jung Saet Byul and Choi Dae Hyun. The final episode will air on August 8 at 10 PM, KST.
