Instagram influencer Allissa Shin is receiving a lot of attention these days because of her uncanny resemblance to BLACKPINK's, Rose. However, not all of the attention is positive and the online celebrity has spoken up against bashers and malicious commenters.
According to a report by All Kpop, Allissa Shin, an Instagram celebrity recently caught the attention of BLINKs because of her strong resemblance to BLACKPINK's Rose. While many fans started to follow her to give their support, there were also those who were unhappy over the similarities they spotted between Allissa and Rose.
Allissa recently sounded off on her Instagram stories to address toxic comments and haters who bashed her because of her appearance. She denied that she was copying Rose in any way and maintained that her style and fashion were her own.
In a strongly-worded statement, she said that she initially planned to respond point by point to accusations that she was feeding off Rose's popularity. However, she opted against it and said that it would be counterproductive and give trolls the ammunition they needed to continue to bash her.
"If people are excited because they believe that I resemble their favorite idol, then I am genuinely glad. If I found someone who looked like my favorite celebrity, I would be ecstatic as well. I really do not mind if others tell me that they think that I resemble her but what I do mind is when people are being toxic and making false accusations. I personally do not think I look like her and I am not trying to either," she said.
She also reiterated that she will not change anything about her appearance to please the bashers and urged them to move on because they would accomplish nothing with their continued negativity.
Allissa also clarified that she had nothing against BLACKPINK's Rose and admitted that she does not know much about the Kpop star. She said that she hoped the singer's fans don't misinterpret her statement.
Allissa also thanked those who expressed support to her over the negative comments and defended her against the bashers. Prior to the BLACKPINK Rose debacle, Allissa Shin was well known on Instagram for being a fashion influencer based in Los Angeles, California. She was followed by over 12,000 followers on Instagram but the number has ballooned to over 17,000 followers after BLINKs discovered her resemblance to Rose, Stylecaster reported.
