Hayoung of Apink, together with other celebrities, decided to leave the "FC Rumor" team.
In July, a post of Hayoung and Gugudan's Kim Sejeong has circulated all over social media about them joining "FC Rumor," which is a new all-female non-professional soccer club. On the photo are the names of some celebrities, including Gugudan's Nayoung, TWICE's Mina and Jihyo, EXID's Jeonghwa, BESTie's Uji and actress Kim Sae Ron in their team uniform that showed their backs with their names.
It was then rumored that the all-female soccer group is affiliating with the all-male soccer club, also named "FC Rumor." The malicious commenters spread rumors that they used the two soccer clubs to meet up and date.
The club clarified that the two clubs might have the same name, but they are separate, and nothing was going in between the two clubs. Also, Hayoung and Kim Sejeong debunked the alleged rumors.
August 11, Hayoung spoke to fans via a V Live Broadcast and later announced that she left the soccer team after her birthday. She added that Jihyo and Mina also left the group.
Hayoung added that they did not leave the group because there was a misunderstanding. Still, they left because the fans might be upset and misunderstand because of the speculation that also hurt other fans.
The intention of them being in the team is about a hobby, but the people think differently and misunderstand our purpose. Despite having a clear conscience, people might not see it the same way.
For the past ten years, Hayoung has maintained her image and ensures that it won't have dirt on it. They also left for the reason that they don't want to hurt the non-celebrities on the team.
Lastly, Hayoung added that if they want to do it, they can quietly do it without letting others know. Rent a futsal venue, take classes, and ensure that they won't misunderstand why they left "FC Rumor."
