Blossom Entertainment released an official statement today, June 2, regarding Park Bo Gum’s possible military service enlistment.
The agency shared that Park Bo Gum has applied to join the navy military band and that he already had an interview on June 1. If the actor gets accepted, he will be enlisting on August 31, 2020.
Blossom Entertainment has stated, “Because he did everything quietly, only a handful of people know even at the agency. Though there may be much that you are curious about, the situation will change depending on the result, so please understand that it’s difficult to disclose any details at the moment.”
Meanwhile, Park Bo Gum’s fans still have a number of things to look forward before the actor enlists this year.
Park Bo Gum’s upcoming sci-film Seo Bok is set to premiere this year. He will be starring along with Korean actor Gong Yoo. The movie 'Seo Bok' is the first Korean film to deal with the topic of human cloning.
Aside from the sci-fi film, the actor is also set to star in the star-studded film ‘Wonderland'. It is a film that deals with the stories of several different characters. It will tell the story of a simulated universe in which people are able to reunite with loved ones with whom they can no longer interact in reality.
Suzy and Park Bo Gum will play a young couple who can no longer communicate in real life after Park Bo Gum’s character falls into a coma and Suzy requests to meet him in the Wonderland. Gong Yoo will play a husband in his 40,s who misses his late wife Tang Wei. For the child that can't forget the mother, Gong Yoo requests a wonderland. Meanwhile, Jung Yu-Mi and Choi Woo Shik are to play characters that control the events that take place within the simulated reality called Wonderland, Soompi reported.
Park Bo Gum is also set to star in a new drama opposite Park So Dam that is scheduled to air on the second half of this year. The drama ‘Record of Youth’ will also be aired on Netflix.
