According to HITC, the social media fire started a few days ago when her former co-member Yaebin was caught saying the N-word on her Instagram live, rapping to Nicki Minaj's song "Super Bass." The singer was immediately criticized by fans who claimed that she was insensitive for doing so.
Soon after Yaebin's indiscretion, Kyla subsequently tweeted about karma being a bitch. The case led fans to assume that the tweet was directed at Yaebin. After that, Kyla deleted the tweet and denied the claims by posting another tweet stating that she wasn't talking about her (Yaebin) from the previous twitter post that caught fire.
Allkpop reported that the fueling issue on twitter between Kyla and the fandom drove accusing accounts to leak old screenshots containing alleged information that Kyla shared on Snapchat and Discord chat. These allegations included Kyla's claims being transphobic and her spreading rumors about several PRISTIN members being in relationships with idols from different male groups.
After remaining silent for a short while, Kyle took to clarify the rumors by releasing a statement on Twitter.
