All hail to King Jimin!
According to the figures released on the Korean Research Institue’s August brand rankings, the 24-year-old South Korean singer is the No. 1 K-pop boy group member. The main vocal of the worldwide phenomenal all-boy group BTS tops this month’s rankings alongside fellow BTS members and other South Korean male artists.
As per Hellokpop, the rankings are constructed on multiple factors like media, consumer participation, communication, and community indices. The research institute pulls out the massive amount of statistics dating July 14 to August 14.
#1 SPOT GOES TO JIMIN
The ‘Serendipity’ singer finished at the No. 1 spot out of 645 boy band members. Jimin earned his coveted spot for this month’s rankings, making it his 20th time on the throne.
Notably, the singer has been dominating the ranking’s list for 20 consecutive months now. For August, Jimin garnered a total of a vast 6,476,311 reputation index.
The K-pop dedicated new site also reported some of his high-ranking phrases in the idol’s keyword analysis are “Promise,” “Run BTS,” and “Filter.” Furthermore, the words such as “donate,” “release,” and “awarded” are among of Jimin’s high-ranking related terms.
#2 SPOT GOES TO JUNGKOOK
Alongside fellow BTS members and crooners, the “best maknae” of K-pop Jungkook bags the No. 2 spot. The ‘Euphoria’ soloist acquired the sum of 4,056,917 points in his brand reputation index.
In a recent music release, Jungkook dropped a heartfelt cover of Justin Bieber’s ’10,000 Hours’ on BTS’ official Soundcloud account. Listen to it here.
According to Allkpop, the third place goes to HIGHLIGHT member Doojoon with 3,421,270 points. Fourth is BTS’ V and Chanyeol from EXO. The top ten is dominated by Suga and Jin from BTS, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, TVXQ’s Yunho, and BTS rapper J-hope.
